"As a couple that's in constant pursuit of finding new and fun things to do, we have accumulated a repertoire of great stories along the way. Of course we are two very different people and sometimes have very different experiences. This Blog is our chance to take you along for the adventure, while giving both sides of the same story."

CAT

I grew up in the Country town of Albury (NSW) with my parents, twin sister and two older brothers. I made the big move to Melbourne straight after high school so I could go to university in the big city and never looked back.

Growing up as a twin was amazing, you always have your best buddy there, especially for those scary moments like starting school for the first time. We get along so well and I would consider her my best friend. The down side is that most of the time you are viewed as one half of a set. It can be hard for people to see you as an individual.

I was divorced from my partner of 8 years in 2012, which was such a life changing event. I had become so codependent that I lost the ability to do anything by myself. After the separation I learned how to do things on my own and started to thrive on being independent.

My name is actually Kate but I became known as Cat after I appeared on the 2014 season of Big Brother. The drive to go on the show was my love of reality TV but also a need to carve my own identity, which is something I had lost through being a twin and during my marriage. It wasn't an easy decision to go on the show but one I thought I would always regret if I turned down. Big Brother was the story of how Lawson and I met. This Blog is a taste of our lives as a couple since leaving the show. I didn't win the show but I came away with love, which is even better

Prior to becoming a reality TV personality I was and currently still am working as a Midwife. I have always had a passion for women’s health and love that I get to be apart of the happiest time in a parents life.

LAWSON

I grew up in Mandurah,  an hour outside of Perth, where I lived with 4 of my brothers, my Mum and Stepdad. I come from a very large and complicated family. My parents divorced when I was only a baby so I have had two families for as long as I can remember. I have two real brothers, two step-brothers, a half-brother and a half-sister and I consider them all my family.

Ever since I played the role of a candle in my school's 100 year anniversary in Year 1 I have wanted to be an actor and an entertainer. I got my first magic kit when I was 11 and have been interested in magic ever since. It's only in the last 4 years that I have really started to get addicted to magic and turn it into more than just a hobby.

I studied Performing Arts at university straight out of high school and moved in with my Dad in Perth. Half way through my uni studies my Mum had a motorbike accident and died. It rocked me to my absolute core. In a family of mostly boys she was my best friend and gave the best advice. She would always say "every day is precious and that life is too short" and I take those messages through with me every day of my life. That event shaped my life and made me realise that life is too short; which is why I auditioned for Big Brother.

I never expected to make it onto the show and I most definitely never expected to meet Cat; but I did and now here we are! I like to think of Big Brother as the first chapter of an unfinished book and this blog is a chance for us to write more chapters as we get to do some pretty amazing things.
